Mountain Cycle sneak peek

It’s a very exciting time of year. New bikes are popping up all over the place and companies are revealing details of their models for next year and sometimes even further beyond.

In our ongoing series of sneak peeks at equipment that will be available in stores soon we bring you the latest from Mountain Cycle.

Rumble

The Rumble has been a staple of the MC line for a few years now and always gets fantastic reviews and owners Worldwide seem consistently smitten with theirs. This year (08/09) MC have brought a limited edition Rumble to the market. Look at this:

Limited to just 50 (seriously!) Worldwide.

The ’standard’ Rumble still looks awesome:

And there will be other colors available. More on that as we get it.

Battery

A Prototype Battery during testing. Notice the massively re-enforced BB / pivot area.

I rode this at Sea Otter in 2007 and loved it. Short, agile and tough it’s exactly what Slopestyle competitors (and Dirt Jumpers, Street / Park riders as well… Brian) need. I really can’t tell you how much fun this bike is and I’ve been waiting anxiously for news of when it’s going to be available - it seems I’m not going to have much longer to wait! As soon as we get our hands on one we’ll bring you a full review and some detail photos.

Shockwave

The bike that won a UCI Championship in 2007 is now available to us mere mortalsĀ and it looks fantastic:

Heads I pick Red, tails I pick burnished...

Yes. It’s safe to say we all want one.

Looking good in black as well.

We’re waiting to hear when the San Andreas Anniversary model will be available but as soon as we hear - you will.
